Thank you for your interest in the 2015 Ontario BioBlitz! Through this form, you can register ahead of time for the public programming that is offered during the Blitz at the Ontario Science Centre and Evergreen Brick Works.
Once you’ve registered to participate in public programs, you’ll have access to all of the public programs on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the BioBlitz. There are programs which have a limited capacity onsite (such as owl pellet dissection, nestbox building, biodiversity walks), but many of the programs are drop-in and available throughout the day. Schedule and program highlights coming soon!
This year, we are also excited to offer a bike hike as part of the public programs! The hike is open to a max of 15 participants, and it is BYOB (bring your own bike!). Those who sign up will meet at the Ontario Science Centre and travel one-way to the Evergreen Brick Works, learning about the biodiversity they meet along the way while enjoying some of the Don Watershed's trails. The trip takes roughly an hour, and afterwards participants can explore some of the activities at Evergreen, or make their way back to the Ontario Science Centre.
*If you have already registered as part of the intensive survey, the Guided BioBlitz, or as a volunteer, you do not need to register for public programs too - access to them is already included in your initial registration, unless you would like to sign up for the bike hike*
If you have questions, feel free to email ontariobioblitz@gmail.com and we will get back to you as soon as we can. If you have signed up but are no longer able to attend, please de-register here.
