Big Trout Bay Intensive Science BioBlitz

July 15-21, 2017

Follow along with species observations on the event's iNaturalist project page here!

The Royal Ontario Museum, the Natural Heritage Information Centre, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry and the Nature Conservancy of Canada have partnered to conduct an intense scientific survey at the NCC's Big Trout Bay Nature Reserve. Dozens of scientists and skilled naturalists will spend one week surveying over 1000 hectares of near-pristine habitat on the northern shores of Lake Superior.
Join us on July 20th at the Pavillion at Little Trout Bay Conservation Area for a public open house from 12pm-3pm. You’ll get to meet some of Ontario’s foremost experts and learn about the diversity of life they’ve uncovered on the adjacent Big Trout Bay Nature Reserve.
